It seems like another former WWE superstar is leaving the squared circle for the octagon. Ryan Reeves, better known by his ring name “Ryback” is strongly considering a jump from the pro wrestling world to the world of MMA.
According to reports, Ryback has been in talks with Bellator MMA.
Ryback recently appeared on CBS affiliate X 107.5 Las Vegas and discussed the idea of entering the realm of mixed martial arts. A ccording to FloSports’ managing editor Jeremy Botter, reports of Ryback being in talks with Bellator MMA are legitimate.
“Spoke, but nothing close,” said Bellator CEO Scott Coker of negotiations with Reeves, who recently legally changed his name Ryback Reeves.
Ryback, 34, became frustrated with the direction of his character in WWE and was officially released in August. He has since appeared at several independent wrestling events as he prepares for the next step in his career.
