Justin Bieber challenges Tom Cruise to fight, and it's the best fucking idea ever.

June 12, 2019

Yup. The title is not misleading or clickbait to earn that sweet sweet Google ad revenue.

Three days ago Justin Bieber sent out a tweet targeted at America's favorite scientologist that he was looking to scrap with him with inviting Dana White to host such an occasion.

Yeah. Told you I wasn't click baiting you. Now while this is probably the most ridiculous thing the general public heard on Twitter all week, or possibly since the inception of Twitter, let's play devil's advocate here and argue the counter point of why this isn't such a bad idea.

1. Anybody can fight

Have you ever seen that Pixar movie with the mouse and the dead chef that says "Anybody can cook!", well I'm on the side that says anybody can fight. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world because fighting is a universal language that reaches all people because it is naturally built in our genetic code from birth. Anybody can fight, whether good or bad from MMA Fighter to Hollywood Actor.

2. More eyeballs on the sport

Anytime a celebrity has come to combat sports to give it the ol' college try, it brings eyeballs to the sport that wouldn't watch it. Look at Lyle Alzado vs. Ali, or Joe Canseco fighting in Japan, or CM Punk in UFC, or that crazy bitch from figure skating who tried her hand in boxing (I think her name was Tanya Harding or something) along with her fellow C+ washed up celebrity counterparts who competed in celebrity boxing. Now imagine two of the biggest names in Hollywood on the undercard of a UFC card, and you got an event that would not only print money, but also get eyeballs who would stick around to watch the entire event after paying the inevitably high pay per view price tag.

3. Tom Cruise waited 25+ years to make a Top Gun Sequel.

And the movie is destined to suck. And for that, I stand firm when I say he deserves to get punched right in the suckhole.

4. Conor McGregor thinks it's a good idea

And even offered to promote it, and after the work he did to promote his own fight against Mayweather, what you got on your hands is television/pay per view gold from the build-up right to the presentation of the actual fight.

In conclusion, this challenge might not be so ridiculous and this fight may not be such a bad idea afterall.

But I'll let you know how I feel once the acid I dropped an hour ago wears off.
